Surgenor CCTV

If you are familiar with this system you may proceed direct to the camera login screens by clicking either of these camera links...

(if you use a modem) or

                         (if you have broadband),

...otherwise please read these instructions first...

CCTV instructions for viewing

This system allows you to view live pictures from any of three CCTV cameras around the Surgenor house.  There are three cameras at present one covering the back garden and yard, one covering the front drive and one covering the front door.  During the hours of darkness it is likely that you will only see something on the latter two cameras.  Although you could use the HomeSeer control page and switch the lights on first! Live video pictures are pretty data intensive and therefore viewing them is only really recommended if you have broadband.  Before you click either of the links above please take the time to review these instructions.

Once you have clicked the broadband or modem options above the first web page you will be faced with will look like this...

You should click the play button.  This will then display a user name and password login dialogue screen.  For you both the user name and password is "guest" (without the quotes and exactly as typed as it is case sensitive).

To prevent any automated login a further security check is carried out.  You must repeat the security code displayed in the dialogue like this.

If you have successfully logged in you will see this web page with a view from one of the cameras.  You can change the camera view to one of the other two by clicking the icon at the bottom left of the page that shows the video camera with the two arrows above it.

Finally, as viewing these cameras ties up a significant portion of my broadband line your viewing time is limited to 80 seconds.  After that time, if you wish to view again or view another camera, you will need to use the back button on your browser to return to the login page.
